[1] David Rees: Good morning. I welcome Members to this morning’s meeting of the Health and Social Care Committee. This morning’s session is the last session that we will have in this term before Christmas; therefore, I wish everyone a happy Christmas and best wishes for the new year. We have received apologies this morning from Alun Davies. I welcome Joyce Watson who is substituting on his behalf. There is no scheduled fire alarm drill this morning, so if the alarm does sound, please follow the instructions of the ushers. Translation is available from Welsh to English. Simultaneous translation is still on channel 1, but amplification of the sound is now on channel 2. So, there is a change in that respect. I remind people to turn off their mobile phones and any other electronic equipment that may interfere with the broadcasting equipment.

Papurau i’w Nodi Papers to Note
[2] David Rees: We have the minutes of the previous meetings on 20 and 26 November. We have received additional information from the Minister for Health and Social Services regarding the number of patients referred under various mental health pathways and the performance against the target referral times, which have come as a consequence of our session with the Minister on the Mental Health (Wales) Measure. Are Members happy to note those papers? Yes. Thank you for that.

[3] David Rees: For the remainder of the meeting this morning we will undertake our business in private. Therefore, I move that
the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting in accordance with Standing Orders 17.42(vi) and (ix).
